How does connecting a person to their core essence happen through the art of Massage?

Touch is the one sense out of all our five senses humans cannot live without. Because you can give and receive vital information through the palm of your hands, your healing hands can convey messages that guide people to heal on multiple levels. Learning to work intuitively as a practitioner will give you those capabilities.

ENROLMENT PREREQUISITE

Please note that the Level 1 Introduction Course is a prerequisite for enrolling in the Intuitive Bodywork Course, with the exception of those who have completed a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy or a Diploma of Remedial Massage (subject to application).

INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION

The course is taught by founder of The Medicine Wheel healing centre Mylène Koury. She holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage since 2005, and 400hrs in Swedish Kinetic Massage since 2003.

COURSE DURATION

The course is run over a few consecutive days in our retreat space in the Southern Highlands. The total hours of the course are 22 hours (not including an online examination).

STUDY MODE

The course is taught in person at The Medicine Wheel Retreat in Sutton Forest and is mainly a practical hands-on course with much of the theory included in to the applications.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

Students will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in massage, which demonstrates an understanding of how to deliver a safe treatment, that includes a full understanding of the components of the course.

PREREQUISITES

There are no prior learning prerequisites to enrolling in the course, although the students must agree to the terms and conditions outlined as a registration requirement.

COURSE ASSESSMENTS

There are three main assessments
1 – Evaluation of Draping Techniques
2 – Two Supervised Trainings of 1-hour
3 – Online multiple-choice

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

A Whole Body Massage can be offered alongside other modalities already being practiced in a professional setting. Although as a stand-alone practice, opportunities are available primarily through private practice initiatives.

COURSE RECOGNITION

The course is recognised by IICT – The International Institute of Complementary Therapists, and the association’s affiliate
insurance broker BMS.

All materials are provided as part of the course fee, including the course manual.

This course has been recognised for membership by the IICT and their recommended insurance providers in the following countries:

Hi. I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Mylène (Me Len). I have been practicing bodywork since 2004. I started my journey with the determination to discover how to shift physical tension in the body and arrived at so much more.

Through years of observation and quiet listening, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful subtleties of the human soul residing within the shell of the anatomy.

In 2016 I started to compile my findings, and have arrived at the ever-growing content which I share within my courses. In simple terms, the human body is much more than what meets the eye. The physical body is an expression of our mind, our emotions, and our relationship to spirituality.

If you decide to embark on this journey into the mystery of the body your life will take a turn into the fascinating world of human complexity and magic.

I am inspired to co-create the mission of making an impact in the world with like-minded individuals who have decided they would like to journey into the healing arts to help people be the best versions of themselves by overcoming difficulties and finding inner peace.
