About Armonia & Douliana:

Armonia Retreat Center in Dhouliana, Crete, is a serene and beautifully designed venue nestled among olive groves in the Apokoronas region, just a short drive from the sea and the town of Chania.

Blending traditional Cretan charm with modern comfort, it offers accommodation for up to 22 guests across its main building and nearby villas.

The center features a spacious yoga and workshop studio, a gym, a modern kitchen, and inviting indoor and outdoor communal spaces surrounded by gardens and countryside views of the White Mountains.

Ideal for yoga, wellness, and creative retreats, Armonia provides a peaceful setting with flexible catering options, access to scenic walking trails, and an authentic connection to the natural and cultural beauty of Crete.

A New Tradition
Our September retreat continues the shared journey of the past three years while embracing new insights from our first-ever June retreat and fresh perspectives on Fitness, Embodiment, and consciousness development. This edition offers an enriched experience, blending movement, awareness, and personal growth in a small, supportive community.

We are honoured to be joined once again by Dr. Lena, who will lead sessions exploring the vital interplay between the microbiome and restorative sleep, adding a science-backed layer of recovery and wellness to the retreat.

Meet Your Hosts

Yorgos Karamalegos — Embodiment
Founder and Lead Instructor of Physical Lab, an international laboratory dedicated to performance and embodiment, Yorgos Karamalegos has guided performers and professionals from diverse backgrounds towards achieving profound physical and mental awareness. At the core of his practice is a deep passion and ethos: research into presence as a pathway to personal and professional freedom. With the body as a point of entry, his approach facilitates the deconditioning of ingrained patterns — physical, vocal, and cognitive — unveiling the embodiment of one’s true spirit and revealing our most authentic selves.

Alex Crockford — Fitness
Founder of the ALEX CROCKFORD app and a globally recognised fitness creator, Alex has helped thousands transform their bodies and mindsets through accessible, intentional training. His philosophy centres on continuous personal development and unlocking your highest potential — both physically and mentally. Alex’s expertise spans gym-based and at-home programmes, empowering participants of all levels to reach their best selves.

Guest Instructor: Dr. Lena Kantzou — Microbiome & Gut Health
Originally an aesthetic dentist from Athens, Dr. Lena shifted her career after a family health crisis, dedicating herself to studying Nutrition, Microbiome, and Lifestyle Medicine. Over the past few years, she has blended her medical expertise with health coaching, focusing on the transformative power of lifestyle changes. Driven by a passion to empower others, she advocates for the integration of nutrition, gut health, and overall well-being, offering compassionate, science-based guidance to help individuals achieve lasting wellness.

Day One – Arrival & Orientation

Introduction to Presence & Embodiment with Yorgos
Expand your bodily sensations as a pathway to presence, enhancing sensitivity across all senses.

Forest Walk with Alex & Yorgos
A grounding walk through the woods to explore nature and connect with the environment.

Day Four – Personal Challenge & Embodied Expression
Pleasure Exercise with Yorgos
A gentle, stretching-focused session to start the day smoothly.

Individual Challenge Workout with Alex
Channel your competitive energy into personal challenges designed to push your limits.

Embodied Expression Part 1 with Yorgos
Explore voice, body language, and facial expressions to communicate with confidence and presence.

Days Two, Three, Five, and Six
Morning and afternoon sessions alternate between embodied fitness with Alex, voice and expression workshops with Yorgos, and integrative practices combining both disciplines. Group exercises, theatrical games, and mindful movement deepen connection, presence, and physical awareness.

Departure – Day Seven
Check-out and transfers to Chania Airport. Participants leave with tools, insights, and embodied practices to continue their journey at home.
